Dark Clouds Everywhere You Look.

Southern Ophiuchus contains one of the most spectacular gatherings of dark nebulae in the heavens. This image contains no less than ELEVEN objects from the Barnard catalogue, in part or in whole.

The image is centered on B68, the Molecular Cloud. B72, the Snake Nebula, pretty much dominates the upper-left. Others in the picture are B70, B69, B234, B77, B73, B240, B75, B74, & B71. Stack of 3 colors & 1 luminance from the wide-field Slooh-Chile scope.
