August 07 2009 M31 while Marleen Slept

This was taken after the rain cleared out Friday night at the WOW (Wisconsin Observer Weekend) star party. Marleen asked me to submit the photo. The rain cleared out around midnight and I opened the observatory. From her tent I heard her say, "Wow is it clear!"... and that was the last we heard from her until morning. You snooze, you loose... ;) Equipment: Taken from an Astrogazer portable observatory Scope: Hyperstar C14 at f1.9, CGE mount Imager: Hutech Canon XT through an IDAS filter Guider: STV guiding Exposures: 60 one minute exposures at ISO 800, ten flats, darks and biast frames Software: Stacked and processed in ImagesPlus.
