Trifid Nebula - Messier 20
The Trifid nebula is a three lobed emission nebula with a reflection component as well but not pictured here. It is located in Saggitarius.
This particular photo was done on a 90mm Takahashi f/5 refractor exposed through a Hydrogen alpha filter using an SBIG ST7XME CCD.
The FITS image was processed with NASA's FITS Liberator software and Photoshop Elements.
