Image of South Pole of the Moon taken in full daylight. Altitude of Sun 12 degrees. This photo was an experiment to see how much lunar detail could be captured with my 8" Meade SCT during the daytime. A simple inexpensive webcam was used (Philips SPC900NC) with filters #25 (red) and #25 (orange). A 200-frame movie was captured using HandyAVI. The separate frames were then stacked and wavelet processed with Registax5. Final adjustments to brightness and contrast were applied with Photoshop Elements.
