October 06 2009 Harvest Moon Bridge - From Portugal |

|
I photographed the moon on this special night, when the moon is well known as the "Harvest-Moon", to be closest to the northern autumnal equinox (Sept.22). To compose this framework, I went to a jagged area with an impressive view over the Tagus river and the city of Lisbon. In the picture we can observe the setting full Moon on the famous bridge "Ponte 25 de Abril", which connects the city of Almada, to the Portugal's capital, Lisbon. This bridge is often compared to the Golden Gate, bridge in San Francisco, USA.
The light that we could see in the picture, is natural, It was not used any flash. The rocks are iluminated by the reflection of the local street lighting, and mostly, by reflection of the full moon in the rivers water.
