The Pleiades Star Cluster

Messier 45 The Seven Sisters contains hundreds of stars, its brightest stars: Alcyone, Atlas, Electra, Maia, Merope, Taygeta and Pleione are visible to the naked eye. The stars in the Pleiades are thought to have formed together around 100 million years ago, making them 1/50th the age of our sun.
