An horse in the moonlight

Moon shines high tonight, still I am out imaging.
A good H alpha filter can win against the strong light pollution of my site (5 km from the center of Turin, a city with 900.000 inhabitants) and the 95% lighted portion of our satellite.

Average of 36 exposures 5 min. each
MZ2-Pro su LX200ACF 8" a F/10
Binning 2x2
H alpha filter 13nm Astronomik
1 Dark
5 Flat

Processing Maxim DL, Photoshop
Site: La Loggia (TO)
Moon 95%

The Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) was first recorded in 1888 on a photographic plate taken at the Harvard College Observatory.

Sony ICX285 have very good quantum efficiency, thus allowing to image with narrow band filter at high focal ratios
