Sharpless 292 Eye of the Seagull

Exposure Details: 5.3Hrs Sii - 16" ASA (GRAS-G11) CCD FLI PL11002M Astrodon Sii 3nM [672nM] Filter.

The G11 Global-Rent-A-Scope telescope was used over a number of evenings to gradually collect this image of SH2-292, NGC 2327, "the eye" of the Seagull Nebula. SH2-292 is a great narrow band object. It has a strong Sulphur channel and plenty of data in Ha and Oiii - This photo features 320 minutes of the sulphur emission line Sii(672nM) filtered by an Astrodon 3nM, 50 mm round filter.
