Orion constellation over a Lunar Scintillometer

This is a composition of 70 images at the top of Ventarrones mountain, with the Orion constellation descending over 'LuSci', a Lunar Scintillometer for the measurement of atmospheric turbulence. Ventarrones is one of the Chilean candidate sites for the future 42-m E-ELT Observatory. I took this photograph during a campaign for the E-ELT Site Testing using LuSci.

Camera: Canon PowerShot A470
Details: Each image is 30-s exposure and ISO-80, superimposed with Startrails software.
